Valence, France – Team CLS Kawasaki Pro Circuit will do its first appearance this week-end during the famous Valence International, one of the main European pre season races. The event will be held of the French layout south of Lyon, with two separate classes as MX1 and MX2 riders will both run two heats before a super final race with the best riders of each class.
Created last winter when American’s company Pro Circuit joined French bases team CLS for his assault on the MX2 World Championship, the team will lineup Frenchman Steven Frossard and Belgian Jeremy Van Horebeek, his two official riders who do their first race aboard a Pro Circuit KX250F Kawasaki.
Number six last season with two heat wins, Frossard enters his fourth and last season in the MX2 class due to the new age limit with high expectations. “My CLS Pro Circuit Kawasaki is the most powerful bike I have ever ridden in my entire career and I am sure I will be able to score even more victories than I did last year. I have spent two months training in the sand; now I have all of the tools I need to win the MX2 world title” explained the twenty two years old rider who finished second for his first participation at the Motocross of Nations in 2009.
Winner last year of the Spanish Grand Prix, Jeremy Van Horebeek is one of the most promising Belgian kid and a newcomer for Kawasaki. “It’s great to be part of Kawasaki investment in the MX2 class, and since the team reached a deal with Pro Circuit I’m delighted as the bike is so performing. Working alongside Harry Nolte and the CLS peoples brings me back in confidence, and I’m sure we’ll bring back Kawasaki on the MX2 rostrum” said Jeremy who finished twice on the MX of Nation’s podium alongside the Belgian team.
Team owner Jean Jacques Luisetti – boss of Floride Motos, the main European Kawasaki dealer – and technical supervisor Harry Nolte are both confident for the season. “We’ve been working so hard since several months now to prepare this new season that we are confident. Valence is a first opportunity for us to see our riders racing against their main rivals, and then we’ll have six more weeks prior the opening Grand Prix in Bulgaria”.
Support riders Wesley Maas – Dutch hopeful racing the MX1 National series – and Germain Vincenot – Young Frenchman involved in the junior championship – will join their teammates this weekend for their first race of the season.
