Offroad racing legend and Offroad Riding Instruction guru Shane Watts is joining forces with the March of Dimes in Hickory, NC to raise funds to help prevent birth defects and premature births. Shane is raffling off tickets to win a spot in one of his widely popular DirtWise Academy of Offroad Riding Schools, conducted nationwide, with all proceeds from the raffle to be donated to the March for Babies Fundraising effort. Each ticket will be just $10 and the winner (or person of winner’s choice) will be able to attend one of the many upcoming DirtWise with Shane Watts Riding Schools. Simply visit the merchandise page of Shanewatts.com, and purchase the raffle ticket. The winner will be announced February 18, 2010 at 6:00 PM.
The Watts Family is the Ambassador Family for the 2010 March for Babies event in Hickory, NC. Shane’s son Rionn was born with a cleft palate and has had numerous other serious health issues. Click here to read Rionn’s story.
“The March of Dimes is a cause that we feel very strongly about, and are proud to be associated with their fundraising efforts. Although Rionn has had a tough go of it, we know we are fortunate because so many families have it far worse. This is a great way for our family to let other families and individuals know our story, so that we might be able to prevent another baby from experiencing the pain and stress that our family and many others have,” commented Shane.
