  • FUEL TV to Premiere “Nuclear Cowboyz: Behind the Scenes” February 1st
AURORA, Ill. – Feld Motor Sports announced today that FUEL TV will air “Nuclear Cowboyz: Behind the Scenes,” a look at the making of the world’s greatest freestyle motocross production, on Monday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m. EST. This 30-minute show captures everything from the Nuclear Cowgirlz™ dance tryouts in Los Angeles, to the vigorous two-week rehearsals at the LA Sports Arena, where the first-ever North American choreographed freestyle motocross tour was assembled.

Before the tour kicked off at Pittsburgh’s Mellon Arena on January 2, FUEL TV captured the long days and hard nights as the action-packed production began to crystallize. The world’s top riders, led by Nate Adams and Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, paved the way for the new era of freestyle motocross with never before-seen sequences. The highly trained freestyle motocross riders and the knowledgeable creative team collaborated to create the perfect blend of live entertainment with unbelievable tricks and adrenaline-pumping theatrics.

In addition to Adams and Stenberg, the Nuclear Cowboyz cast of riders includes Adam Jones, Mike Mason, Ronnie Faisst, Todd Potter, Beau Bamburg, Nixey Danielson, Jim McNeil, Dustin Miller, Matt Buyten, Brian Foster, Jimmie McGuire and Jackson Strong. “Nuclear Cowboyz: Behind the Scenes” features candid accounts from these riders in preparation for the heart pounding two-hour show. The extraordinary special will be rebroadcast on FUEL TV ten times in the month of February.

Produced by Feld Motor Sports, the Nuclear Cowboyz tour is creating a new frontier in freestyle motocross by combining the high-octane sport and the high caliber of entertainment production for which company is known. The story line rips wide open when the Nuclear Cowboyz reunite after chaos rocks their world. The sparse population divides into two tribes which operate without governance and compete for supremacy.

“Fans will be blown-away by this new freestyle motocross performance format which includes a special appearance by Derek Guetter presenting an extraordinary back-flipping quad,” says Charlie Mancuso, President of Feld Motor Sports. “New creative elements are integrated throughout the show and include the exclusive Nuclear Cowgirlz dancers, the latest pyrotechnics and pulsating hard rock music, exotic acrobatic fire presentations, sky-high stilt walkers, astonishing fire-breathers and the famed “Grindergirl.”

“We were fortunate to have incredible access to this unprecedented project and to capture the intense two weeks that led up to the launch of this tour,” says Shon Tomlin, VP Programming & Development for FUEL TV and executive producer of the TV special. “This was a rare opportunity to see your favorite FMX stars pioneer a whole new format of action sports entertainment.”

History was made January 2nd when the Nuclear Cowboyz made their debut at Pittsburgh’s Mellon Arena. The non-stop, aerial amazement of this new frontier in freestyle motocross will travel to 15 North American cities in 2010. For Nuclear Cowboyz tour information, please visit www.nuclearcowboyz.com.
