  • Ezra Lusk to Race Arenacross in 2010

  • Ezra Lusk won't be racing supercross, but you can find him at an arenacross event sometime in 2010.
Back in October at the U.S. Open of Supercross, fans were pleasantly surprised when they learned that former factory star Ezra Lusk was coming out of retirement. He picked up some support and lined up behind the starting gate for the first time in over five years, finishing eighth on Saturday night. After the event, there was a lot of speculation on whether or not we'd see Ezra racing supercross in 2010, but it looks like we'll see him racing select rounds of the 2010 AMA Arenacross Championship instead.

"I actually just decided on what I'm going to do," Ezra wrote in an email to us today. "Ever since the U.S. Open I have tried to put something together for the supercross season, but as we all know, this is the worst time ever to try and get support. I enjoyed racing the U.S. Open and woke up Sunday morning after the event wanting to do it all over again. It's a shame, but I am not a complete idiot. I had a way to the races and could have made it work, just not to the standards I was looking for. I hope the sport bounces back for the guys that really want to reach their goals and accomplish their dreams.

"On that note, I'm going to do something really out there and go have a blast racing some arenacrosses against my good friend Brock Sellards on the TUF Racing team. I may do the last six or seven races. I will still try to put something together for the outdoor season, but if it doesn't make sense then I will see you on the tennis court."
