Ryan Villopoto Will Race the U.S. Open

Fans heading to the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open will get a late-breaking bonus: Team Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto has decided to race this weekend! The three-time AMA Motocross Champion has been on the mend since knee surgery took him out of the running for a fourth straight championship back at Hangtown. He's been working out and preparing for a return to the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in January 2010, but it now appears RV's ahead of schedule. He will join heavy pre-race favorite James Stewart, Honda Red Bull Racing's Davi Millsaps and more on the starting gate at the MGM Grand Garden tomorrow evening and again on Saturday night.
