R.I.P. Kat Spann

It is with deep regret that we write to inform the motocross community of the passing of Kat Spann. Her battle with cancer was a valiant one, but one that eventually claimed her life.
Kat was born March 17, 1952 and was one of the great entrepreneurs in the off-road publishing world. She has the longest running motocross newspaper – Tex-MX and Southern Dirt Bike – before closing the doors in order to pursue a life with her husband, two sons and two grandsons.
She was an icon in the world of motocross media and will be greatly missed by all she touched.
