KTM Weekly Motocross Update: Unadilla MX

  • KTM Weekly Motocross Update: Unadilla MX

Jagermeister/MDK/KTM rider Justin Brayton has had a busy, successful, yet fun-filled two-week break over which he placed 2nd in the X-Games 15 Moto-X Super X race and 1st overall with his surfing partner in the Surfercross event.

“My goal was to stay busy and continue to put seat time on the bike. The X-Games is always a lot of fun and I felt really good going into that race. I got pinched off on the start of the race but made up some time and was happy to take home the silver medal,” remarked Brayton.

Brayton, a small town boy from Iowa, is definitely not accustomed to surfing. Nonetheless, he and his professional surfing teammate, Ryan Sakal, placed 6th in surf and 2nd in moto to take the overall win at the 10th annual Surfercross presented by Toyota. “It was a busy couple weeks for me, but I had a lot of fun and now I am looking forward to Unadilla and hopefully getting my first podium of the season,” stated Brayton.

The Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM Team will see the return of two of its injured riders at the Unadilla motocross event. Martin Davalos and Ryan Sipes will both be returning (Davalos was out with a leg injury and Sipes has been out with a wrist injury since the end of Supercross). Both riders have been back on the bike for a couple of weeks and are looking forward to joining the racing action once more.

Their teammate, Wil Hahn, will sit out Unadilla as he is still recovering from shoulder surgery. Hahn expects to return at Budds Creek. The final member of the team, Tommy Searle, has been training in California during the break and will join Brayton and Sipes at the KTM Takeover of Perris Raceway Wednesday August 12th for the KTM ride day – FREE to all KTM riders.
