Reidsville, NC - The North Carolina State Championship promoted by Boxstar Sports, LLC is this weekend, April 4th & 5th. The Kawasaki/Suzuki of Durham North Carolina State Championship presented by Full Throttle Racing, is also Round 5 of the U.S. Eastern Motocross Spring Series. This event pays District 29 Points Pro-Am Points Race, $3,000 cash MC pro purse and contingency for Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda
The inaugural North Carolina Motocross State Championship took place in 1978. The race was then taken over by the Cameron family (long time owners of Devils Ridge MX) in the early 90's and built into one of the largest races of its kind.
"Boxstar Sports is proud to be holding the NC State Championships back at Rolling Hills Cycle Park in Reidsville, North Carolina. North Carolina is home to many top riders in motorcycle racing. We have an especially strong history in motocross and we are building on that history with all the new riders that are coming up through the ranks. The Rolling Hills track is famous for the elevation changes and track layout. We have invested quite a bit into reviving the track and we are looking forward to a great weekend of racing," commented Chad Lough of Boxstar Sports.
This will be the only weekend to ride the track before the Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier.
Weekend Schedule:
Friday - Gates Open 3:30pm to Midnight
Saturday - Gates Open 6:00 am to Midnight
Sign Up 7:00 am
Sign Up for Sunday's Race 10:00am-5:00pm
Practice 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Sat ATV Riders Meeting 1:15 pm
Sat ATV Practice 1:30 pm
Sat ATV Race Immediately after practice
(ATVs are Saturday afternoon only!!)
Sunday - Gates Open 6:00 am
Sign Up 6:30 am
Riders Meeting Over PA at 7:00 am
Practice 7:30 am
Race Immediately after practice
(If you live in NC or SC, a district card for D29 is required)
Pit Bikes must have pit passes or they will be locked up until race is completed. We will have unmarked pit patrols.
Dedicated bike wash area with non-potable bike wash water available just past entrance on right.
Directions:
US route 29 to exit 153, then take US route 158 East 4 miles. Track entrance will be on the left.

Located in Reidsville, Rolling Hills Cycle Park is considered one of the top tracks in the Southeast for motocross racing. The park has been open since the 1970s but has only recently begun to achieve national recognition within the motorcycle industry.
Rolling Hills is host to the Carolina MEGA and Ultra Series and the Championship Series; two highly regarded southeastern motocross racing series that are sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association. In addition to these series, the track is host to the North Carolina State Championship and Loretta Lynn's Area Qualifier.
