BBMX Teams With ASMF for Jacksonville
The BBMX team has partnered with the Action Sports Medicine Foundation (ASMF) and the Children's Miracle Network of Jacksonville to provide an exciting and fun-filled day for 3 unfortunate local Jacksonville children and their parents at the Jacksonville SX on April 4th at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
Dr.Steve Augustine, founder of ASMF, generously donated the tickets to the Childrens Miracle Network of Jacksonville, which then chose 3 children with various health issues and their parents to attend the Jacksonville SX, on behalf of the BBMX Racing team and ASMF. These unfortunate kids will get a chance to forget about their problems for a day and enjoy a spectacular Supercross experience that will include pit access, a track walk, a visit and tour the BBMX team semi, meet the BBMX racers to get autographs and pictures as well as take home some great BBMX swag as a way to remember their Supercross event. "This is a nice way to give back to the Jacksonville community and support one of the local charities at the same time", said Forrest Butler ,the team's manager.
"I am happy that we can provide these kids and their parents an opportunity to enjoy themselves during such a tough time in their lives. To see a smile on their faces makes it all worth it " said Dr Augustine, who resides in Jacksonville and is an Orthopedic Surgeon with the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute at St Vincent's hospital. The ASMF program headquarters is based out of Jacksonville as well.
