SaveOurSport - lift the youth OHV ban

The purpose of this message is to simplify the process of getting grass roots support for lifting the youth OHV ban.  As soon as you mention, "write your congressmen," most people cringe and turn the other way because the whole process sounds overwhelming (finding addresses, names, etc and then writing the letter on top of that).  Even sending people to the AMA website has caused confusion becuase there is no longer a direct link to the subject matter.  Utilizing the AMA link, we've broken it down to 5 simple steps that will take all the anxiety out of "being a part of the solution."

To date there has been about 50,000 people that have made their voice heard.  That sounds like an impressive number - until you realize it is a meager 1000 people per state.  Simplifying the process is the only way we are going to get the grass roots support.

The National ATV Association reaffirmed our belief that things won't change with just "higher level" efforts, we absolutely need to activate the masses through grass roots efforts to get this thing fixed.

We will be setting up a page with the instructions listed below at www.fantasymoto.com for all to access.  In the meantime, please circulate this to everyone you know.

Thanks,
Scottyb

SaveOurSport - lift the youth OHV ban
What you do for the next 5 minutes WILL make a difference!

On August 14th, 2008, Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA).  The law prohibits the sale of children's products that contain led.  The unintended effect to the youth off-highway vehicle market has resulted in a ban of all youth motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles.

"Please take five minutes to visit the site below and submit a form letter to your senators and congressmen (the form will automatically find them and submit the letter, all you need is your name, address, etc) urging them to support the petition submitted by the Motorcycle Industry Council and Specialty Vehicle Institute of America to exclude youth OHVs from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) lead content requirements. The whole process will take you less than five minutes."

1. Print this page for reference (we are sending you to another website)
2. Click on the link below
3. Scroll down and click on the "Stop the ban of youth motorcycles and ATV's.
4. Scroll down to " 1. Compose Message, " fill in your information and submit
5. Repeat for everyone in your family and send this to as many family and friends that you can
