Pirelli Tire Announces 2009 GNCC Contingency
Rome, GA – With the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Racing season opener looming this weekend on February 28-March 3, Pirelli Tire has announced its contingency program for the 2009 championship and its riders.
Serving as a GNCC tire sponsor for 2009, Pirelli will post $79,690 in contingency rewards. Additionally, Pirelli is proud to introduce the all new Pirelli Bucks card. These cards will hold specific values that can be redeemed through the “Official GNCC Trackside Vendor” Gear Racewear. Riders interested in the new Pirelli Bucks card must sign up at the Pirelli truck. All elements of the 2009 Pirelli Contingency will be posted on gnccracing.com.
As an added bonus to all Pirelli-backed GNCC competitors, the state-of-the-art Pirelli Race Semi will be on hand in River Ranch, Fla. for the premiere Parts Unlimited River Ranch event, offering support to all of its riders. To help out with the cost of racing Pirelli will offer free tire mounting for any rider using Pirelli Scorpion tires during the 2009 season.
The Can-Am GNCC Series is the nation’s premier off-road racing series. Featuring both ATV and dirt-bike classes, the season spans the majority of the year through 13 rounds of action. The season kicks-off at the end of February in Florida and runs throughout the East region before concluding in Indiana this October.
