DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing Expands Supercross Program

  • DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing Expands Supercross Program

HOUSTON – After a successful first outing at the Houston round of the AMA Supercross series on January 24, Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing will compete in four more East Region rounds. The team will head this week to Atlanta’s Georgia Dome for round two of the East Region Lites championship on Saturday, February 21.

Team rider Teddy Parks of Princeton, Texas looks to improve on his impressive 15th in the Lites Main. After turning pro just last summer, he’s a Supercross rookie. Parks was ecstatic to have such a great start to the series at his hometown race. Augie Lieber of Loxahatchee, Florida was unable to race in the Houston main due to a ‘that’s racing’ incident where he was hit mid-air in his heat race by another rider which knocked the momentum from him for the heat and the subsequent LCQ. He looks to get into the main at Atlanta with extra motivation in that the race is near his home state of Florida.

Besides the Atlanta round, Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing will also compete in Daytona on March 7, New Orleans on March 14, and Jacksonville on April 4.

Team manager Tim Shea said, “Our primary goal going into Houston was to prove we had a solid program and could bring value to our sponsors. With the fan turnout we had in the pits and Teddy’s results, we went to work quickly to put together an expanded program. I am most appreciative that our sponsors enable us to continue supporting Augie and Teddy in their racing dreams.”

Catch the team riders and the DNA Energy Drink girls at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, February 21. Grab a poster and get your photo taken with the DNA Energy Drink girls and team riders.
