Greensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team raced in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the BOK Center this past weekend. Mike McDade won the Lites class and won five out of the six races he competed in for the day. Unfortunately for Mike he was taken out of the AX main event early in the race, otherwise it may have been a clean sweep for McDade in Tulsa.
Jim Neese also finished on the podium with a third place in the Lites class. All three Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team riders qualified for the AX main event. Josh Thomas had the best finish with a twelfth, followed by Jim Neese in thirteenth and Mike McDade in sixteenth. Jim and Mike both had their bikes mangled in separate incidents and at one point Jim needed to stop and bend his rear-brake pedal out to release the rear brake.
"I felt strong this weekend and wanted to win everything. Winning the Lites class was great, now I want to win both main events in the same night. I have figured out most of the nuances of AX, now I just need to watch out for reckless racers. I think I pulled practically every holeshot this weekend, so I know I have that dialed in," commented McDade.
"We had good success in the Lites class this weekend and Mike was showing his speed. However, the AX class was a different story and we did not catch a break there. We are all looking forward to the west coast rounds and finishing this season off on a positive note," added Jim Neese.
