Hibbert to Race Final Snocross Race of the Season at Brainerd International Raceway
February 4, 2009 5:06pm
Goodridge, Minn. - Monster Energy/Arctic Cat’s Tucker Hibbert will race his fifth and final snocross race of the season this weekend at Brainerd.
International Raceway (BIR) in Brainerd, Minn. Round four of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) will take place on the legendary NHRA drag strip for the first time. Hibbert is undefeated on the ACSS tour and hopes to continue his win streak this weekend.
Hibbert is fresh off his dominating performance at ESPN’s Winter X Games 13 where he won his fourth gold and eighth overall medal by over 30 seconds. No one has been able to catch Hibbert on the track this entire season. He’s not only undefeated in the finals but qualifiers as well. If he wins both pro finals this weekend, he’ll record his 45th and 46th career national wins.
Hibbert will kick-off the weekend Thursday night at the Monster Mike Schultz Benefit and Silent Auction at Dondelinger Auto in Brainerd. Hibbert’s 2008 Winter X Games gold medal gear is up for auction. All proceeds go directly to Schultz, who lost his leg in a snocross accident earlier this season. You can bid online on eBay until Thursday night or in person at the benefit.
After this weekend Hibbert will be turning his focus to motocross. Shortly, he’ll be traveling south to ride and prepare for the 2009 AMA National Motocross Series.
