Spy Optic’s Hibbert Wins Winter X Games Gold

  • Spy Optic’s Hibbert Wins Winter X Games Gold
CARLSBAD, Calif. – Damn! Did you see Spy Optic’s Tucker Hibbert flat out dominate the ESPN Winter X Games’ Snocross finals this weekend? Our longtime MX/Snocross ripper from up in Minnesota broke out the big whippin' stick against the world’s best at the most-viewed snowmobile event of the year. Yeah, Tucker!

Running the Kevin Windham signature Magneto model goggles, about all Hibbert had to contend with after he saw his way clear to the holeshot was roost from the sleds he was lapping! A quick dip of his helmet visor would help the clear anti-fog lenses ward off any ice crystal missiles and Hibbert’s last glimpse of the night would be the checker flag waiving.

“I got a good start and was pumped because that’s what I wanted to do – get out clean and get away from all the other guys,” said Hibbert. “And it worked out good. I got out early and pushed hard.”

Spy Optic’s Hibbert, 24, who won his first X Games gold medal in snocross at age 15, was first to the finish in a field that included top snocross racers Robbie Malinoski, Dan Ebert and Levi LaVallee. In fact, Hibbert’s been so strong this year that he’s an undefeated 6-0 on the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series in both the Pro Stock and Pro Open classes.

“I work hard and I’ve got good equipment, good snowmobiles, good people, sponsors and it all comes together and we get results,” he said.
