  • DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX Enjoys Good Night in Phoenix

Phoenix AZ- In front of a packed house of 46,000 plus supercross fans, team DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX came out swinging in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. Team riders Matt Boni, Kyle Keylon and Shaun Skinner all made the show and at the same time showed the rabid fans of supercross that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Boni, who hails from Geneva Florida captured the win in the LCQ to grab the nineteenth spot in the 450 SX main event. Boni would have some bad luck in the main event when his scoring transponder got twisted into his steering stabilizer on his Honda CRF 450 and he was unable to continue. Skinner, from Stuart Florida, made the 250 main event by also winning the LCQ and had a great race going until falling in the sand section, he would eventually finish a very credible fourteenth. Keylon continues to be the only rider to line up against the 450’s on his 250 to gain valuable experience and track time in getting ready for his debut in a few weeks in the east coast 250 series. The Florida native tried his best but was unable to put his bike into the main event.

“I’m happy with our guys finishes” says team manager Forest Butler “Skinner and Boni showed lots of heart and determination to win the last chance qualifiers and Kyle is just out powered out there but never gives up”. As far as the DNF for Boni, Butler realizes that it’s part of racing “It’s something that happens out there in the heat of the battle. We’ve learned why it happened and will make sure it doesn’t”.
