JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Teams with No Fear

  • JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Teams with No Fear

Carlsbad, CA - Straight off of winning their first race on Saturday night, Jan. 3, 2009 at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., No Fear announces today that it has formed a relationship with the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Team. The cooperative effort will see the second year team supported throughout the 2009 season by both the No Fear race clothing brand as well as the No Fear Energy Drink.

“No Fear really stepped up for us,” says team founder Coy Gibbs. “They have been great to work with and the riders really like the gear.  It’s a great fit for us since they have been involved in both NASCAR and motocross for years.”

No Fear has enjoyed a remarkable history in the sport since the motocross clothing brand was first conceived in 1999. In the past decade, No Fear has worked with many of the sport’s most talented and charismatic riders such as Jeremy McGrath, Travis Pastrana and Kevin Windham and sees the brand’s alliance with the Joe Gibbs Racing organization as natural progression of the company’s goals and objectives in both the immediate and distant future.

Like Joe Gibbs Racing, No Fear has a strong heritage in racing,” says Mark Simo, No Fear Chief Executive Officer. “For a number of years we’ve been involved in both NASCAR and Supercross and when we look to an operation like Joe Gibbs Racing and how they operate, I can only say we have the greatest respect for them. We feel we have a great synergy with JGRMX in that we hope to continue racing on a broader scale such as they do. No Fear sees a very bright future for JGRMX, and as Josh Grant proved on Saturday night at Anaheim, it is a remarkable feat for a team only a year old to win a race at this level. JGRMX Toyota/Yamaha is a team with a bright future and certainly capable of many great things and we believe their first win is but one of many to come. We definitely look forward to a long and fulfilling relationship with JGRMX.”

With the opening round of the 17-race 2009 AMA Supercross Championship now in the record books, the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Team along with riders Josh Grant and Cody Cooper will now head east to Phoenix, Ariz., where series points leader Grant will lead everyone into Chase Field for round two of the series this Saturday night.
