Triple Effect Kawasaki Signs Veteran Sellards to Complete 2009 AMA Arenacross Series Lineup
AURORA, Ill. – With a late off-season acquisition, Team Triple Effect Kawasaki added itself to continuously growing list of top competitors for the 2009 AMA Arenacross Series Championship. Just weeks prior to the opening race in Grand Rapids, Mich., Triple Effect signed veteran arenacross rider and perennial front-runner Brock Sellards.
The Utah-based team came onto the AMA Arenacross Series scene last season, achieving solid results in its maiden campaign.
“It kind of just came together,” explained Team Owner Charlie Wallwork. “Brock gave us a call a while back and we worked everything out. It’s definitely an exciting addition to our team. Any chance you get the opportunity to sign a guy like Brock, it only helps make the team better. Alongside Gray (Davenport), I have to say I like our chances for this season.”
Sellards, who finished third in the championship last season while posting five victories, will join up-and-comer Gray Davenport. After a solid top-10 finish in the final standings in 2008 with Triple Effect, Davenport returns to the team, continuing to build upon his arenacross experience.
The team will receive primary sponsorship from its title sponsor Triple Effect Custom Graphics while also obtaining crucial support from FLY Racing.
