MDK KTM Signs with Shift for 2009
After an exciting year in 2008, Shift Racing and the MDK/KTM Lites team have renewed their successful partnership for what is shaping up to be an even better season in 2009.
Returning to the team are Justin Brayton, Martin Davalos and Ryan Sipes, who all made a big impression in ‘08. Justin Brayton has also shown amazing speed during the off-season and will be looking to carry that momentum into the season opener at Anaheim.
New recruits include Wil Hahn and Tommy Searle. Hahn comes off of an impressive rookie season in Lites SX, while Great Britain’s Searle is fresh off of a runner-up finish in the World MX2 Championship after an intense season long battle. Searle is looking to be in contention for the MX Lites title from the get go and will focus solely on that series during his debut in the US.
Along with the Lites team, 450 rider Travis Preston will also be competing in Shift Racing apparel for the newly formed Jagermeister/MDK/KTM Team where the former SX Lites champion will be looking to turn some heads against a highly competitive field of riders.
Shift Brand Manager, Brett Nicholas says, “We are looking forward to another great season with the MDK/KTM Team. They have a very professional image while still maintaining a fresh and independent vibe, which we feel aligns perfectly with Shift’s progressive high performance products.”
MDK/KTM Lites Team Manager, Danny Paladino says, “I am really pleased to continue our partnership with Shift Racing. They have been a top notch company to work with from day 1 and their unique racing gear ensures our riders always stand out from the pack. This is shaping up to be a very exciting season and we’re glad to have Shift along for the ride.”
