Holiday of Hope at Leg-Up Ranch
Julian, CA - The Leg-Up Ranch Holiday of Hope Annual Charity Event will take place on December 20, 2008 at The Leg-Up Ranch, located at 4859 Highway 79, just 7 miles South of Historic Julian. The event will begin at 11:00am and end at 5:00pm. There is NO ADMISSION FEE.
The event will feature a number of wonderful holiday opportunities, including photos with Santa, Pony Rides, a Christmas Tree Lot, Live Music, a Trading Post and a Live Auction. There will be food, fun, a petting corral filled with farm animals, and a perfect opportunity to enjoy scenic Julian with your family while supporting a wonderful non-profit organization. We are especially delighted to announce that Ryan Hughes, national pro-motocross racer, will be making a celebrity appearance to the ranch and spending his time signing autographs and visiting with attendees.
The Leg-Up Ranch, Inc. was founded by Stephanie Brehm, whose son Dylan is a Leukemia survivor. Brehm was recently awarded second place in the Home Depot Hometown Hero Contest and has been selected for the Channel 10 News Leadership Award. She will be featured on their program in the immediate future. The ranch offers therapeutic horseback riding FOR FREE to children who suffer from life-threatening illnesses, bringing their families together to bond through shared experiences. It is Brehm’s goal and vision to create a fun and peaceful escape for those families and to provide them with an experience that might otherwise not be possible for them financially.
