  • MX for Children’s Inside Line Returns

AURORA, IL – Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, announced today the return of the Inside Line Experience fundraising drive to benefit in the fight against hydrocephalus. The Inside Line Experience, which has raised $264,000 to date, will take place at the Houston, Toronto and Seattle stops on this year’s Monster Energy® Supercross schedule.

MX for Children has set a 2009 fundraising goal of $150,000 for its events in Houston, Toronto and Seattle. The funds are dedicated to research for hydrocephalus – the #1 cause of brain surgery in kids. The Inside Line Experience rewards the top 10 individual fundraisers with a VIP meet and greet with top supercross racers, a tour of factory rigs, a walk of the track and premium seating in Houston, Toronto and Seattle. Considered the quintessential all-access pass, these top fundraisers will enjoy the ultimate supercross fan experience where they actually share one-on-one time with the stars of AMA Supercross.

The newest stop added to the Inside Line Experience is Houston’s Reliant Stadium January 24 and benefits Texas Children’s Hospital. The featured team for this year’s event will be the Monster Energy® Kawasaki team and their riders Ryan Villopoto and Tim Ferry, both who have supported MX for Children in the past. Toronto’s Rogers Centre on March 28 will feature the Factory Suzuki team led by reigning AMA Supercross champion Chad Reed.

“MX for Children is excited to bring the Inside Line Experience to fans in Houston this season,” said Paul Gross, founder of MX for Children.  Growing support from the supercross industry has allowed us to raise more that a quarter-of- a million dollars for children’s hospitals”

The final Inside Line Experience event will take place at the Seattle tour stop where riders will visit Seattle’s Children’s Hospital. The Spike Hardcore/Toyota/Yamaha, Factory Yamaha and Monster Energy® Kawasaki team will be on hand to meet and greet the fundraisers and spend time with the children Thursday, April 16.

“I’m really excited to work with MX for Children once again,” said Ferry. ”Every year we see groups like this doing great things in the name of our sport and anything I can do to help them is a pleasure.  Monster Energy® Supercross has a huge fan base in Texas and I’m glad I get to spend some one-on-one time with some of them.”

The first-ever Inside Line Experience took place in 2006 in Seattle where Team Yamaha and Team Suzuki helped raise $52,000 for MX for Children. In total, more than $264,000 has been raised to help children’s hospitals. Legendary supercross racers such as Chad Reed, James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, Tim Ferry, Josh Summey, Davi Millsaps, Andrew Short and Ivan Tedesco have participated in the Inside Line Experience.

Pledge forms can online at the official website http://www.mxforchildren.org.
