Hibbert Shoots for 40th Career Win at Snocross Season Opener
November 24, 2008 4:59pm
Goodridge, Minn. (Nov. 24, 2008) - Monster Energy/Arctic Cat’s Tucker Hibbert has his sight set on a perfect weekend at the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series’ (ACSS) season opener in Duluth, Minn. The 17th Annual AMSOIL Duluth National is one of the biggest races of the year and always the most unpredictable.
At only 24, Hibbert is already considered a legend in the sport and currently has 38 national snocross wins. If he wins both the Pro Super Stock final on Saturday and Pro Open final on Sunday, he’ll record his 40th professional victory. In his five pro appearances at Duluth, he’s never won both classes. The past two years he ran into bad luck at the season opener, failing to put together two podium finishes. Favorable weather has the track set to be longer and more difficult than usual which should play to his advantage.
For the third consecutive year, Hibbert will be racing an abbreviated snocross schedule. He’ll be at the first four ACSS National events and ESPN’s Winter X Games 13.

Tucker Hibbert - #68 Monster Energy/Arctic Cat
“Winning both races at Duluth is the goal and I can’t think of a better way to start the season. It’s not going to be easy but I’m confident in my team, my sled and myself. I was fortunate enough to get in some great seat time and testing before this weekend, which is always tricky. I’m pumped on the changes Arctic Cat made to the SnoPro600. It already was a great sled but they did some fine-tuning and made it even better. The team has the sleds dialed and now it’s up to me. I need to go out there, ride like I know how to and put my Monster Energy/Arctic Cat on-top of the box.”
