  • DP Brakes Remains Strong in MX and Off-Road in 2008
BUFFALO, NY- DP Brakes, the leader in sintered braking technology, followed up an excellent 2007 season with another strong showing in MX, AX and Off-road events in 2008.

Starting the year off was the Toyota AMA Arenacross Title with a win by TUF Honda Racing’s rider, Chad Johnson.

In addition, Monster Energy’s Pro Circuit rider, Ryan Villopoto won this year’s AMA MX Lites Championship.

In the Parts Unlimited’s OMA Series, DP Brakes riders finished 1-2-3. First place went to Team Suzuki’s Off-road Team rider Paul Whibley over his team mate, and reigning champ, Jimmy Jarrett. Third place went to Yamaha rider Brian Garrahan.

Finally, DP Brakes rounded out the season with impressive finishes in AMA’s GNCC Series. In the Pro Class six out of the Top 10 riders were sponsored by DP Brakes. Those included Team Suzuki’s riders Paul Whibley and Josh Strang finishing second and third respectively.

In the Vet A Class, Husky Team manager, and long time GNCC legend, Scott Summers dominated the championship. And, long time DP Brakes sponsored rider Jeff Fredette eased his way to the Masters Championship.

“We congratulate all the teams, and riders, on their accomplishments in 2008, and wish them all the best in 2009. We are truly honored to be part of their success,” said Larry Mills, President of DP Brakes and Clutches North America.

“Not only do DP Brakes last longer than any other brake pad on the market, they also perform flawlessly in all these arduous conditions, plus are non abusive to the rotors and give the rider quiet performance”, Mills added.

For more information on the complete line-up of DP Brakes brake pads, shoes, rotors, and clutch kits, contact DP Brakes North American Headquarters/Tony Mills International Inc. at 4401 Walden Avenue, Lancaster, NY 14086, (716) 681-8806, email dpbrakestm@aol.com ,or visit them on the web at www.dp-brakes.com.
