AURORA, Ill. – With the opening weekend of AMA Arenacross racing from Des Moines, Iowa, just a week away on November 7-9, the AMA Arenacross Series is proud to announce its contingency package for the 2009 season.
A total of 14 sponsors have signed on to support the exciting sport of arenacross, bringing in a total of $1.3 Million for the series’ 25th year of racing.
“Without the support of these sponsors, the AMA Arenacross Series would not be where it is at today,” stated AMA Arenacross Series Director Jayme Dalsing. “Their role is integral to the growth of the series. and the riders and teams cannot thank them enough for their efforts.”
With a consolidated schedule for 2009, the series is dropping the split weekend format that was established two years ago while also working to benefit the riders and teams. The series is also introducing three new venues and media markets with the inclusion of races in Tulsa, Okla., Fresno, Calif., and Highland Heights, Ky.
