Kamloops, BC - Kawasaki Canada's Official MX2 motocross team, Leading Edge Kawasaki is pleased to announce their team for the upcoming Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series. Returning riders, Teddy Maier and Brock Hoyer will debut the all new 2009 Kawasaki KX250F at the first round, Nov 7th, at Chilliwack's Heritage Park Center.

Though Williams Lake native Brock Hoyer is no stranger to the series, having finished a strong second overall in the combined rankings in last year's series, this will mark the first time that Iowa's Teddy Maier has contested the Canadian AX series. Maier is no stranger to Arenacross racing though, a long time competitor of the AMA arenacross series, Maier notched 3 wins on his way to a 4th overall ranking in the 2007-2008 series.

Leading Edge Team Owner, Jason Hughes, had this to say about his arenacross team: "Brock is a solid AX rider and long time Leading Edge rider so he was a no brainer for this series, but with Teddy we felt that after his successful season with our team outdoors this summer and his long history of Arenacross success in the U.S. he'd be a great addition to help showcase the all new 2009 KX250F. The new bike is amazing so I'm excited to see what they can do aboard it at Chilliwack."

Kawasaki Canada will also be offering a Factory Rider for a Day program where one lucky Kawasaki rider per round will get a chance to be a part of the Leading Edge team for the day. Stay tuned for more details.

The Leading Edge Kawasaki team would like to thank their sponsors for making their 2008 racing effort possible:

Leading Edge Motorsports, Kawasaki Canada, Monster Energy, Thor, Rock Construction and Mining, Parts Canada, Pro Circuit, Kyocera/Gold Business Machines, RG3 Suspension, Pirelli, Excel Wheels, Fountain Tire, Zeta, DRC, Merge Racing Technologies, Ogio, VP Fuels, Alpinestars, Gear Jammer Mikes, Mechanix Wear, Print Werx.
