Don't Miss the '08 CMRC Finale

The Dunes is starting to wind down after an exciting stretch of fall events plus ample practice days, but things aren't over just yet! This Sunday, October 26, Gopher Dunes will be hosting the CMRC FOX Fall Hi-Point Series Finale Motocross & Royal Distributing Ltd. ATV Race. This is the last chance for our dedicated racers to do their stuff, before we can call it another season! Ride & experience for yourself all the continuous track changes that have taken place at the Dunes --- with over 1500 cubic yards of dirt being hauled in (that's 100+ dumptruck loads) for lengthening some of the jumps, widening the front whoop section and adding a rhythm section to the back whoop area. Then on the pee-wee track some of the lower sections have been built-up plus sand has been mixed in with the heavier soil so that the track can absorb more water and also allow it to berm up quicker thus making extra lines on the mini track. Soooooo, if you haven't been down to the Dunes in a while; you'll be pleased with what you'll come to find.....
We've had some beautiful fall weather and the colours are absolutely amazing and with Sunday's cooler but promising forecast on the horizon this is measuring up to be one awe- some wrap-up & one you won't want to miss!! At this event the FOX Fall Series prizes will be tabulated and awarded along with the daily winnings plus an array of prizes and Gift Cards from Royal Distributing that will be available to our dedicated ATV racers! We'll need you here to claim your hard-earned awards!!!
The practice riding season is also winding down now for 2008 and with the cooler upcoming weather and shorter hours of daylight --- Gopher Dunes will remain open on weekends only for the month of November until ground freeze-up or snow accumulation?! Should we encounter an unseasonably mild weekday that may encourage us to open....stay tuned to the Dunes Updates or dial in to www.gopherdunes.com ....cause we'll be lettin' you know.... Also, if the weekend weather is miserably cold and unfavourable, we will also post our closure.
But don't despair and hang up your helmets just yet....Ontario does offer year-round riding; as only 10 minutes from the Dunes is the Tillsonburg Indoor MX Track located at Chesterman's on Hwy 3 just west of Tillsonburg. There are lots of exciting things happening at the Indoor as they enter their 3rd. season and Opening Day for MX riding is coming right up. IMPORTANT Racers must show their 2008 CMRC licence at time of registration or at least know their membership # & racing # to fill in on their entry form.
Day Passes should be available at a fee of $60 All registered racers must have their assigned CMRC # on their jersey/chest protector as well as on the front and both sides of their bike and with proper colours. Incorrect #'s or missing #'s may cause rider to be scored improperly or disqualified!! For rules, please visit www.cmrcracing.com
MINORS under 18: It is MANDATORY that you have completed the CMRC Minor Waiver & Parental consent forms in 2008 and you should have a yellow card stating date it was completed. Please bring it with you when you register to race, otherwise you will have to complete these forms again. What you need for registration so you are not sent to the back of the line...The Practice Order will be posted by the Head Referee. If received in advance we will post it on our website.
- 2008 licence or you must at least know your membership # & racing #
- completed Entry Form & signed on back (by parent, if under 18)
- cash in hand
- if under 18, both signed Waiver Release & Parental Consent Forms
- if under 18, a parent must accompany you to sign the participant waiver
- racers will receive a wristband prior to exiting the registration trailer
