  • Foremost Insurance Rider 4th on the Opening Night of U.S. Open
Grand Rapids, MI - Foremost Insurance rider, Justin Brayton, finished in 4th place last night after running in 3rd for the initial eight laps. Brayton won his Heat race, which advanced him directly to the Main Event.

Justin Brayton raced in the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open last year and finished 8th overall, with an 8th place on Friday, and a 6th place on Saturday. He races for the MDK KTM team in the Supercross and Outdoor Motocross Series.

Teddy Maier is filling in for Jim Neese. Neese was injured last weekend in a local race and was unable to make the event. Maier finished in 7th place in his Heat race and in 9th place for his Semi as well as the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier). Unfortunately, he was not able to make the Main Event with these results.

Both athletes are running the Foremost Insurance logo on their gear and Maier also has the company's logo on his Kawasaki.

"We are extremely pleased with Justin's results and Teddy's efforts last night. The U.S. Open Invitational is a very competitive race with many of the top riders competing on a smaller track, to be that close to the podium on the first night is outstanding," said Randy Slotten, Marketing Director.

The event takes place in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Saturday, October 18 from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm.

In addition to these sponsorships, Foremost is the co-title sponsor of the LeoVince Foremost Insurance Ducati road race team in the AMA Superbike Series, and the title sponsor of the Foremost Insurance Suzuki race team in the AMA Toyota Arenacross Series. Foremost is also the official insurance carrier for the Suzuki Big Kahuna Superbike race at VIRginia International Raceway.
