Tag Metals and Geico Powersports Honda Enter into a Long Term Agreement

Valencia, Calif. - J.C. Waterhouse, Team Manager of the Geico Powersports Honda race team had this to say. “We’ve been with Tag Metals for a few years now. Last year, Tag Metals went through a change of ownership and the new team there is phenomenal. We’ve been testing their new sprockets and we are extremely happy with the results. Tag Metals has a lot of good things going on right now. They’re focused and that is exactly what our team needs.”
Shawn Norfolk, Director of Marketing for Tag Metals said, “You’re darn right we’re excited to re-up with the Geico Powersports Honda race team. They won us our first Lites championship last year with Trey Canard, and Kevin Windham had a breakout season as well. When you add the teams focus that they have on bringing in strong talent from the amateur ranks (Canard, Wharton, Barcia, and now Eli Tomac as well), I think that it is a sensible and logical team to want to be a part of. J.C. and the staff there have been a great help as well; developing our new sprockets that will hit the market in 2009, and we have a wonderful chemistry with the team.
