Josh Summey will ride for The SPIKE Hardcore Energy Toyota/Yamaha team
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – The AMA EnduroCross Championship Series visits Florence, South Carolina this Saturday, September 13, just a short distance from JGRMX’s headquarters.
The SPIKE Hardcore Energy Toyota/Yamaha team will race in its first EnduroCross event fielding Josh Summey on a specially prepared YZ450F. Eric Sorby, the team’s test rider, was scheduled to race along with Summey, but a recent practice crash has him sidelined as a precaution.
“EnduroCross is a relatively new series that incorporates challenging off-road elements like water crossings, logs, and rock sections into smaller stadiums easily accessible to the fans and the teams,” said JGRMX team owner Coy Gibbs. “Eric and Josh both wanted to race the event, so we decided to give it a try and see what we could learn from experience.”
The EnduroCross will be held in the Florence Civic Center. Information on the event and the series can be found at www.endurocross.com.
JGRMX is sponsored by SPIKE Hardcore Energy, Toyota, Yamaha, Yamalube, Renthal, N-Style, Oakley, Troy Lee Designs, Bridgestone, Etnies, Boost Mobile, Filtron, FMF, Cycra, Hinson Clutch Components, and Renton Coil Spring.
