  • 2009 Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road Teams Announced
Amherst, OH – KTM Motorsports is proud to announce the line-up of the 2009 Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road Teams including WORCS, EnduroCross, Hare and Hound, National Enduro and the GNCC Series.

Beginning with the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) KTM is pleased to welcome a newcomer to the team, Mike Brown. The 2001 125cc Supercross Champion brings a wealth of experience to the Red Bull KTM WORCS Team with over twenty years riding experience in numerous racing genres including Motocross, Supercross, Arenacross and Grand Prix’s. Returning to the team alongside Brown, is the ever-energetic, Justin Soulè. This will be Soulè’s third year with the Red Bull KTM team where he has been and will remain a podium threat for 2009.

Red Bull KTM Factory Team rider, Taddy Blazusiak will return for a second year to contest the highly-popular EnduroCross Series. The two-time Erzberg Rodeo winner is looking to earn a U.S. title to add to his résumé. Blazusiak won the 2007 Las Vegas EnduroCross final and is currently contending the 2008 series.

In the Hare and Hound (H&H) Series KTM will continue to support the 2007 H&H Champion David Pearson in the second year of his three-year contract with KTM. Pearson is currently sitting on the sidelines after breaking his femur in a practice crash one month ago. Also, returning to the team is Idaho’s David Kamo. Kamo improved dramatically at the end of the 2008 season already earning four podiums before the last round and securing second in championship points.

In the National Enduro Series KTM will support eight-time National Enduro Champion, Mike Lafferty and 2006 National Enduro Champion, Russell Bobbitt. The two teammates have been each others closest rival for the last three years and currently sit one and two in the 2008 National Enduro Series points chase.

The Grand National Cross-Country (GNCC) Series will continue to support New York’s Nathan Kanney and will add the 2008 ISDE Team Captain Kurt Caselli. Both riders will compete in the XC-1 class. Kanney who finished on the podium twice so far in the current GNCC Series has steadily improved throughout the season and will be a challenger for the championship in 2009. Caselli, the 2007 AMA Sportsman of the Year and current WORCS Champion will compete alongside Kanney in the highly competitive off-road Series. “I am excited to try another series. My goal is to become the most versatile rider I can be and I believe this series is the next step toward my goal,” commented Caselli.

The 2009 Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road Team members are “Ready to Race” and look forward to the approach of the 2009 off-road racing season.
