Racer X just spotted Kyle Cunningham in the lobby of the Doubletree here by Southwick and he let us know that he will riding Tommy Hahn's Motosport/Xtreme Kawasaki KXF 250 this weekend at Southwick and next Saturday at Steel City, the final two rounds of the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championships. Cunningham, who has been rising through the ranks for much of the summer, now sits seventh in the 250 class standings. He was formerly with DNA Energy/BTOSports.com/Butler Brothers MX Honda, but parted ways with the team last month. It is a two-race tryout, with both the rider and the team looking at the possibility of a deal for 2009. "We've been keeping it pretty quiet but I guess everyone will know here soon enough," said the quiet kid from Texas. "I am really looking forward to riding the bike and being with the team."
Also, Vital MX is reporting that GP-bound Zach Osborne, formerly with Yamaha of Troy, is back for the weekend to ride a Team Utag YZ450F. For more, check out the Racer X Motocross Show on Motocross.com, which will be posted later this afternoon with practice highlights and interviews, including a piece on visiting GP star Marc De Reuver.
