Bad Boy Power Drink MX rider Jessica Patterson has been nominated for a 2008 ESPY Award. The announcement was made last night on the ESPY Nominations Special television program on ESPN and ESPN HD. Last year Patterson, sponsored by Bad Boy Power Drink, won her unprecedented fifth WMA Pro National Championship. She's universally recognized as the most accomplished rider in the history of the Women's Motocross Association. Currently Patterson is attempting to win her 6th WMA Pro National Championship riding her Bad Boy Power Drink - Honda of Houston - Fox Racing # 1 Honda.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to be nominated for an ESPY Award", said Jessica Patterson. "I'm really looking forward to be being at the awards show at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on July 16th. It'll be very cool. It would be great to win, so please go on-line and vote."

The winner in each ESPY Awards category is determined by the number of votes they receive on ESPN's ESPY Awards website. Voting began on July 1st, and will end  on Saturday, July 12th. "Jessica Patterson has proven year after year that she's the best women MX rider on the planet", said Darryn Fleshman, National Chain Accounts Manager for Bad Boy Power Drink. "She competes at the highest level in an action sport that is fast and furious, very dangerous, and extremely competitive. Jessica deserves to win the ESPY Award in the Best Female Action Sports Athlete category."

The 16th annual ESPY Awards Show, hosted by Justin Timberlake, will be televised on ESPN and ESPN HD at 9pm (ET) on Sunday, July 20th.
