Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green Earns Top 10 in Texas

Irvine, Calif. (June 12, 2008) – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Tatum Sik finished third in the second moto at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas to earn 10th overall at the second round of the AMA/WMA National Championship presented by Kawasaki.

Sik was running in the top five throughout the first moto until she crashed on the final lap and finished 22nd. Sik and her dad fixed her Kawasaki KX™250F overnight and even with one of the last gate choices she was able to get a good start and earn a podium finish in the second moto. Her 22-3 result was good enough for 10th overall and she is currently tied for sixth in the series’ standings with 56 points. Kawasaki rider Mariana Balbi went 5-4 for third overall and Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Elizabeth Bash finished 15th overall.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green rider Meika Cornelius did not compete this weekend after she was injured while practicing for the event on Thursday.

Round three of the AMA/WMA National Championship presented by Kawasaki will take place on June 27 and 28 at Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, Colo.
