- Second Hour -

Jason DiSalvo, Road Racer - Yamaha Superbike Team

Jason is currently 5th overall in the Superbike standings, with two podiums so far. A few weeks ago he accomplished the impossible feat of splitting Ben Spies and Matt Mladin in qualifying, but he has not been able to translate that into results in races. He injured his ankle in a low-side crash at Fontana. Jason started riding at 18 months old and had an impressive career in dirt tracking winning championships along the way. In 2000 and 2001 he raced in Europe and in 2006 he was third in his first ever Daytona 200. Jason was born in Batvia, New York. He came into the season sporting a beard and the nickname Mountain Man and then shifted to a Mr T haircut recently, showing some creative marketing genius and adding to the entertainment value at the races.

Paul Carruthers, Editor - Cycle News

Paul Carruthers has been on the staff of Cycle News for the past 23 years, the last 14 of which he has been editor of America's Weekly Motorcycle Newspaper. As a youngster, Carruthers traveled the world with his family as his father, Kel, raced in the Grands Prix - earning the 250cc World Championship in 1969. The family moved to the U.S. in 1971 and has been here ever since with Kel racing in the AMA series before eventually going back to Grand Prix racing as Kenny Roberts and Eddie Lawson's crew chief. After finishing his schooling at San Diego State, Paul Carruthers worked in the sports department at a local newspaper before going to work for CycleNews in 1985 - where he began covering everything from road racing to motocross to flat track. In 1993, he was named editor of Cycle News and began making sweeping changes to the publication, culminating in what it is today - a full-color, weekly publication that covers everything in motorcycling from around the world.

Greg Hammond, Director of Motor and Action Sports training - Concept2 Indoor Rowing

Greg is the guy at Concept2 in charge of working with all the Pro riders and their  trainers on getting and implementing the Indoor Rower with their programs. The number of pro riders is growing fast and it spans all disciplines in motorcycle racing from Motocross and Supercross to WORCS and GNCC . Concept 2 even has indoor rowers in the hands of the Hayden Brothers in Moto GP. There have been several riders that were way ahead of the curve when it comes to training on our machines. Riders like Travis Pastrana have used them for years and trainer Aldon Baker, Nicky Hayden and James Stewart's trainer, has been a fan for years, long before Concept2 had an official program.  Greg is a lifelong fanatic of anything on two wheels and this combined with a passion for human performance.
