9th Annual Monster Energy Charity Golf Classic Raises over $100G
Las Vegas (NEVADA) - The 9th Annual Monster Energy Golf Classic presented by Toyota Trucks at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas raised more than $110,000 to benefit the Road 2 Recovery Foundation, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to AMA licensed professional Motocross and Supercross riders who sustain career ending injuries. The event started at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, and included a lunch banquet, numerous raffles and on course events, a $10,000 putting contest, Monster party tent with music and an ice luge, an awards dinner, and several sponsored prizes.
Twenty teams participated in the scramble style golf tournament. Steve Astephen, Chad Reed, Taylor Massey, and Doug Timmons of Wasserman Media Group were the winners. Each received a trophy and a Curtis & Co. watch. They were also presented with the traveling trophy for the second year in a row. Second place went to the Franklin Law Team of Chuck Franklin, Danny Dobey, Brandon Peckham, and Chris Trevino, who was presented with Nike Drivers. Third place and winner of the new Kicker iKick was the Connexions Team of Bob Walker, Denny Stephenson, Rick Zeiler, and Josh Oron.

Each year the Road 2 Recovery Foundation acknowledges an outstanding individual who has made great contributions to the foundation. This year's recipient of the Main Jet Award was Keith McCarthy of Yamaha Motor Corporation.

The Road 2 Recovery celebrities will return to Las Vegas this Fall for the US Open of Supercross.
