Good Charlotte to Headline Baltimore AST Dew Tour

Band's Hit Song "Misery" Theme Song for 2008 AST Dew Tour
NEW YORK - May 12, 2008 - The AST Dew Tour, the world's premier season-long action sports tour, today announced that alternative pop-punk band Good Charlotte will headline the Verizon music stage on Friday, June 20 at the first stop of the 2008 AST Dew Tour, Baltimore's Panasonic Open. Additionally, the band's hit song "Misery" will serve as the theme song for the 2008 season.
Hailing from Waldorf, Maryland, Good Charlotte has earned international fame with 2004's tremendously popular The Young and the Hopeless, featuring hit singles "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" and "Girls and Boys." Their latest release, Good Morning Revival, is the fourth album from the multi-platinum selling group and features the hit singles "The River" and "(I Don't Wanna Be In Love)Dance Floor Anthem" and "Misery" which will be the theme song for the 2008 AST Dew Tour. Band members include twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, Billy Martin, Paul Thomas and Dean Butterworth.
"Playing at Panasonic Open in Baltimore will be sort of a homecoming for Good Charlotte and a treat for the fans," said Wade Martin, AST president. "With the band's multi-platinum selling albums, international fame and local ties, their Friday night performance is sure to be one of our season's top highlights."

Tickets for the all five stops of the 2008 AST Dew Tour are now available through Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster.com, and select Ticketmaster retail outlets, with the exception of the Wendy's Invitational,where tickets are available through the Rose Quarter.

Entering its fourth year, the AST Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world. Attendance for the 2007 AST Dew Tour totaled nearly 300,000 and an average of 41 million viewers tuned in via NBC and USA each year. The top athletes in the world will take part in this year's Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Orlando at season's end to champions in each of the six disciplines. The 2007 Dew Cup winners include Nate Adams (Freestyle Motocross), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Vert), Ryan Nyquist (BMX Dirt), Daniel Dhers (BMX Park), Shaun White (Skateboard Vert) and Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park).
