Mike Alessi Update
Racer X checked on Team Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Mike Alessi's condition to see how the #800 was coming along since his broken collarbone from practice at the San Diego SX. Mike is being treated by Dr. Stephen Augustine, getting x-rays every two weeks. So far, things are coming along well, though the severity of the break means that he's off the bike and not training for eight weeks, minumum. So right now he's still in a holding pattern, as far as an exact return date, though his father Tony told us that he hopes to be back for the last few SX rounds. Tony added that Mike is getting really excited about again being a contender in the upcoming AMA Toyota Motocross Championships, "because he feels like he has the best bike in the paddock." #800's planned back-in-the-bike date is this coming Saturday at Racetown in Adelanto, California, though he plans on doing some easy riding at that point; he will no doubt be armed with a bunch of stickers and posters for local fans, so if you're at Racetown this weekend, look up the Alessis.
