  • Team Solitaire Signs Ben Evans

March 18, 2008

Phoenix, AZ - On the heels of taking the 2007 Motocross A Pro-Sport Championship at the Loretta Lynn’s AMA Amateur National Championships, Ben Evans has signed with Team Solitaire/MB1/Kingdom Honda for 2008.  Ben will continue to compete on the amateur national circuit, beginning at the Oak Hill, TX nationals (March 18th-23rd) and culminating at the AMA Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch this August.

Ben will make his U.S. professional debut one week later at the AMA National Motocross Championships in Millville, MN, and follow the remainder of the schedule to Southwick, MA and Steel City, PA.

“Ben is clearly a great racer as shown by his numerous amateur titles and Pro-Sport championship at Loretta's, but more importantly, Ben is a strong role model for aspiring young athletes,” stated team owner Ryan Clark.  “Ben and his family put together a well-rounded program that yielded Ben a successful amateur career and transition to pro racing without forsaking a quality education.  Ben will graduate from Cole Valley Christian H.S. in Boise, ID this May with a 4.0 GPA and with the elite credential of National Honor Society, along with the Distinguished Christian High School Student award, both amazing accomplishments. Team Solitaire and its sponsors look forward to working with Ben and his family to give him the best opportunity to succeed at the amateur and professional level.”

"I want to thank Fly Racing, Dave Thomforde at American Honda and now Team Solitaire for their support while I stayed in High School," added Ben Evans. "I can't express how excited I am to elevate my program and devote 100% of my time to racing with the support of Ryan Clark, Mike Battista and the rest of the crew; my dream of beginning my professional career with the support of first class people is finally here!"
