Kelly Smith Wins Two in a Row in Green Bay
Codi Adams Aces Lites; Sewell captures North Region Lites Championship
AURORA, Ill. (February 15, 2008) – Kelly Smith led from wire to wire to sweep the Green Bay Toyota Arenacross powered by Monster Energy Drink. The Monster Energy / Babbitts Online rider shot off the gate to win the $750 Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Hole Shot award ahead of Team Faith’s Kevin Johnson. Johnson followed Smith for the twenty five lap main event. On the podium Smith let it be known that he will come back next year ready for battle.
Tom Hofmaster guided his Fiberwise Pasta Yamaha in third for over half the race before yielding to a pack of riders led by Chad Johnson, Brock Sellard and Keith Johnson and Robbie Reynard. Chad Johnson clinched the championship on Friday night.
Shane Sewell clinched the AMA Arenacross Lites North Championship with a second place finish behind Yamaha’s Codi Adams. Kyle Brown finish third.
