  • Youthstream Congratulates Daytona MG

Funchal, 07 March 2008 - Youthstream would like to express its gratitude to the AMA for the invitation to take part in the bidding process for the AMA Motocross National Championship.

“It was a great and very positive experience for Youthstream to take part in this bid.”  Said Mr. Giuseppe Luongo, President of Youthstream, “We are extremely honoured that the AMA asked for Youthstream to be involved in this process as this proves once again our high level of professionalism. More importantly, it was very profitable working in the USA over the last six months, we were able to meet many organizers, sponsors, manufacturers, media outlets, TV networks, and thanks to this we have built good relations with the key people of the American market. This will give a valuable boost to our upcoming organization of the FIM Motocross Grand Prix and FIM Motocross of Nations in the USA. Also, we strongly feel Youthstream’s involvement into the bid will play a significant role into improving the quality of the future organization of the AMA Motocross Nationals.

“We understand the decision of the AMA to give all the AMA Pro-Racing rights to one company and clearly Youthstream cannot compete for all the disciplines because our interest is only in Motocross and SuperMoto.

“With a strong support from the majority of the American media and fans a really good dialogue has started between the FIM Motocross World Championship universe and the American Motocross industry. Therefore we want to continue in increasing the great communication that has been reached.

“In the last six months we have been able to learn in even more accurate details the status of the AMA MX championships and the measures needed to give it a better and brighter future.

“Finally we wish all the success to Daytona Motorsports Group for the organization of all the AMA Nationals”, concluded Giuseppe Luongo.

Youthstream confirms its plan of having a FIM Motocross and SuperMoto Grand Prix in 2009 and the FIM Motocross and SuperMoto of Nations in 2010 in the United States of America, continuing with two Motocross Grand Prix and two SuperMoto Grand Prix per year with the FIM Motocross and SuperMoto of Nations again in 2013, and so on as previously indicated.

Youthstream is the company that manages the exclusive television, marketing and promotional world wide rights of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the FIM Motocross of Nations, the FIM SuperMoto World Championship, the FIM SuperMoto of Nations, the FIM Snowcross World Championship, the UEM Motocross European Championship and the UEM SuperMoto European Championship.
