  • ‘Bad Brad Cab’ Celebrates Historic MX World Championship
November 30, 2007, Sonoma, Calif. – Cabernet Sauvignon meets MX thanks to a partnership between Generations of Sonoma Winery and Brad Lackey, World Motocross Champion. To honor Brad’s historic World Championship in 1982, Generations of Sonoma has produced and now officially released ‘Bad Brad Cab’, a 2005 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a limited release of only 50 cases.

"I'm stoked that Generations of Sonoma wanted to celebrate my '82 World Championship with this special bottling," said Brad Lackey, 1982 500cc World Champion. "It's a fun way for the whole motocross community to enjoy how far the sport has progressed in 25 years," Lackey added.

Sonoma Valley Wine Country, along the storied Highway 12 corridor, provided the backdrop for a celebration honoring Brad and his championship. “To mark this great occasion, a very cool wine was born,” states Paul Giusto, Winery president and co-founder. “This one goes out to Brad and all those MXers that lived that incredible championship through him.”

Fourth generation winemaker and Generations of Sonoma co-founder, Michael Sebastiani, developed this release from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon exclusively from the Sonoma Valley. It was aged 25 months in French oak barrels and hand bottled by the winery. A full bodied red wine, it will soften with age and cellar through at least 2015. Label art was produced by Troy Lee Designs.

The wine retails for $32 a bottle plus tax and shipping is free.  *Case discounts do apply
