Matt Karlsen of Denver, CO has won the 2007 WORCS Racing/Pro Circuit Privateer of the Year Award. Each year Pro Circuit has provided the top privateer of the year with a check for $2,500.00. This award is handed out to the top finishing Pro in the WORCS Series who does not have factory support. This means they support themselves on getting to the races and competing on their own in the premier Western Off-Road Racing venue. They are allowed outside sponsorship and support, but are unable to receive any kind of factory support which would include (bikes & parts). It was a close finish this year for the award between Matt, fellow Kawasaki rider
Kyle Summers & Yamaha rider
Bobby Bonds. It was Matt Karlsen though who pulled out the most points with 123, just edging out
Kyle Summers who finished second with 122 points. Congratulations to Matt Karlsen and all his hard work on accomplishing this award for 2007.
