  • Actor Stephen Baldwin Launches Assalt Tour

The youngest Baldwin will debut his radical tour in Phoenix

November 28, 2007 – Here comes the boom – ready or not! Stephen Baldwin, one of Hollywood’s most interesting male talents in film and television today, and some of extreme sports’ legendary athletes will invade Phoenix and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum to kick off the AsSALT Tour on December 15, 2007.

The AsSALT Tour is a radical, action sports event like no other that will be free to the public. The tour will feature performances by some of the extreme sports world’s most famous athletes defying the laws of gravity. Performing will be icons such as: Skateboarding legends Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain and Steve Caballero; Freestyle BMX - Dew Tour medalist, Mike Mancuso; Motocross – 2007 X-Games medalist for “Best New Trick”, Kyle Loza; Element pro skateboarder – Chad Tim Tim; Birdhouse pro skateboarder – Brian Sumner; Foundations skateboards pro – Sierra Fellers and many others.

Baldwin will lead the day-long adrenaline rush and six-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling rock band P.O.D.  (“Alive”, “Boom”, and “Youth of the Nation”) will take the stage as the event’s headliner.

The mix of high energy and anticipation will be complemented by a $5,000 skate competition that challenges anyone who thinks they’ve got skills on a board to bring their “A” game. The tour will also feature a pre-event custom car show, high energy hip-hop performances, eye-popping laser lights and special effects, and multimedia entertainment projected on jumbotrons.

When:   Saturday, December 15, 2007 – All day
Where:  Veterans Memorial Coliseum – Phoenix, Arizona
Cost:  Free
