  • Monster Energy Returns For Third Year As Title Sponsor For Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team

Monster Energy again sponsors Pro Circuit/Kawi effort that has produced SX/MX champions including Tedesco, Langston and Villopoto

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan. 5, 2007) – One of motocross’ longest-running and most visible partnership agreements is about to enter its third full season as Monster Energy has signed on for another competition year as the title sponsor with the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki supercross and motocross program.

Over the past three years Pro Circuit/Kawasaki-backed racers have delivered a number of championships to the popular energy drink, including those from Ivan Tedesco (2005 Western Region SX, AMA Nationals), Grant Langston (2005 Eastern Region SX) and Ryan Villopoto (2006 AMA Nationals).

In the AMA Supercross Lites class this year, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki is again loaded with talent. Complimenting Villopoto, who’s certainly one of the favorites to win a regional AMA Lites class title, will be current MX2 World GP champion Christophe Pourcel (first several rounds), former World GP champion Ben Townley, along with top five contenders Chris Gosselaar and Brett Metcalfe.

“Monster Energy, Kawasaki and Pro Circuit will field one of the most formidable programs in the sport this season,” said Monster Energy’s Mark Hall. “And Monster Energy’s pumped to be a big part of it.”

In addition to its involvement with both the Kawasaki factory team and Pro Circuit Lites program, Monster Energy will also back the highly popular “Monster Energy Triple Crown of Motocross” again this summer at the Nationals, as well as being the ‘official’ energy drink of the Toyota AMA Motocross Championship.
