Team MotoSport Makes the Move to Green
Supercross/Motocross Lites team joins forces with Kawasaki
Portland, Ore. (December 5, 2006) – Team MotoSport, entering its fourth year of AMA Supercross/Motocross competition, today announced that it will be competing in 2007 aboard Kawasaki KX™-250F motorcycles.
“We’re very excited to be with Kawasaki this year,” said Bill Butcher, CEO, MotoSport, Inc. “Their championship record in the Lites class is unmatched in the industry. After three years of racing, we were ready to step up our commitment to the sport, and Kawasaki was ready to partner with us to help take our team to the next level.”
Team MotoSport Kawasaki will field four riders in 2007, competing in both the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series and the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship. With manager Bill Keefe at the helm, Bob Kiniry, Steve Boniface and long-time Team Green™ riders Kyle Chisholm and Matt Boni will kick-off their season at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., on January 6, 2007.
Building a successful race program over the course of just a few short years is a difficult task, but one that MotoSport has been able to accomplish. The team hit the ground running in 2004, and in 2006, had three riders finish top-ten in Supercross overall points (two in the East, one in the West).
“Every year the team gets better, and we’re working hard to continue that upward trend,” continued Butcher. “We’ll be the team to watch in ‘07.”
