ESPN X Games Media Website is Now Accepting Credential Applications for Winter X

  • ESPN X Games Media Website is Now Accepting Credential Applications for Winter X

ESPN Winter X Games media website: www.espneventmedia.com is now accepting credential applications for Winter X Games 11 at Buttermilk Mountain at Aspen/Snowmass, January 25-28, 2007. The deadline for credential applications and assignment letters is January 12, 2007.

WHO:
Members of the media can apply for credentials to Winter X Games 11. The credential application is available online at www.espneventmedia.com. While on the website, members of the media can read the latest press releases and download photos from previous Winter X Games events. In order to be approved for credentials, requests must be from working members of the media on assignment. All freelancers should be prepared to furnish a letter of assignment on company letterhead.

There are three different passes available. Still Photographers should apply for a PHOTO credential while all other members of the press (including radio personalities and television stations) should apply for a MEDIA credential. All agents and publicists should apply for a PUBLICIST pass and remember to list the athlete(s) who will be represented.

NOTE: You must have an approved media site username and password to apply for credentials to cover Winter X Games 11. If you or your media outlet does not have a registered site access username and password please be sure to fill out that application as well. If you forgot your username or password, click on the "forgot password" button on the homepage.

WHAT:
The 11th annual winter action sports competition will feature more than 250 athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the following sports: Skiing, Snowboard and Snowmobile. The event includes day and evening competitions and is free to the public.

ESPN and ABC will feature 15 hours of live programming January 25 - January 28. ESPN2 will present daily late-night highlight programs from January 26 - January 29, resulting in 19 total hours of original programming for Winter X Games 11. Additionally, the Winter X Games will also be televised on ESPN's International networks to more than 121 countries and territories in Latin America, the Pacific Rim, Middle East, Africa and Israel.

WHEN & WHERE:
ESPN Winter X Games 11 will be held January 25-28, 2007 at Buttermilk Mountain at Aspen, Colorado.  Additional information on venue locations and the competition
schedule will be available soon on the media website.
