     24th SUPERCROSS DE PARIS BERCY

    THIRD AND LAST NIGHT

    POURCEL KING OF BERCY
THE FRENCHIES WON THE TEAM’S CLASSIFICATION

The third and last night of Bercy 06 was another great one, with a huge crowd, a “Bercy atmospher” and good racing. It was a “French edition” as David Vuillemin won his second main in a row, Team France got the team’s trophy while Christophe Pourcel was crowned King of Bercy for his second attempt in this prestigious event.

Both winners of their heat race David Vuillemin and Christophe Pourcel had a great start tonight, while Josh Grant crashed one more but ended second behind the MX2 World Champion his heat race. Grant got the holeshot in the main, followed by Vuillemin, Cairoli and Renet while Pourcel crashed at the start! Stronger each night Vuillemin put the pressure on Grant, passed him during the third lap and got his second win in a row in one of his favourite stadium. “It was great to see so many fans cheering us, and that’s the secret of Bercy. It was a challenge for me to come here and race with a 250 four stroke, but I like challenges. I want to thanks team NGS, if they didn’t offered me an engine after my problem in the first night I couldn’t race there,” said David. Josh Grant finally claimed a podium during this last night, with a second position in front of Pierre Alexandre Renet who surprised everyone this week-end ! Coming back from fifteen to fifth Christophe Pourcel is the new King of Bercy, followed by his fellow countrymen Renet, Vuillemin and Sorby. Justin Brayton who crashed in the main – as well as Alessi and Brown – ended fifth overall and first foreigner, and the French team won for the first time since the team’s classification.
