  • Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Welcomes Back Announcers Tim Cotter & Adam Portue!

Veteran Cotter anchors the returning live AX announcer duo

AURORA, Ill. (Nov. 1, 2006) – Veteran Toyota AMA Arenacross announcer Tim Cotter returns to action beginning this Friday in Des Moines, Iowa, to help kick off the opening round of one of the most anticipated arenacross seasons in recent years.

Cotter, who’s been with the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series since 1998, will be joined by announcing partner Adam Portue, giving the series a formidable and experienced live announcing force that’ll be both fun and insightful for the legions of fans attending Toyota AMA Arenacross this season and listening in live on www.arenacross.com.

“After a long off-season, it’s time to kick off this much anticipated arenacross season, which ended last year as the tightest points race in the sport’s history,” said Cotter, pumped about his return and adding that his announcing partner Portue “brings an unprecedented energy to the series – announcing the sport of Toyota AMA Arenacross as if he’s riding in it.”

Though he’s hard-pressed to give his favorite to win the series, Cotter did mention that “Chad Johnson will have his hands full trying to claim his second Toyota truck in as many years.”

When the gate drops on the 2006/07 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series season opener at Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena this Friday (Nov. 3), fans attending the event and listening in on www.arenacross.com will be happy to know there are two familiar voices are back to describe the action as the future stars of supercross take to the track!
