Lucky Nichols starts a New Chapter
After three years as Team Manager at Holigan Racing, Lucky Nichols has submitted his resignation and will leave Holigan Racing at the end of the 2006 race season.
"Managing a professional race team has been the fulfillment of a life long dream, but now I am ready to start another chapter," states Nichols. "The combination of the experiences of the past three years along with my 30 years of experience as the owner of LCS Racing has enabled me to pursue other opportunities inside the industry that I love."
"We are going to miss having Lucky with us full time, but are excited about what he has on the drawing board. He has come up with ideas for products that every motocross, enduro and cross country racer will want on their bikes and in their tool boxes," states Michael Holigan. "And although he will not be at the race shop full time, Lucky will continue working with the team on testing new products that he develops."
"It is a big step, but when I saw the reactions of people I respect in the sport to this new product, I decided now is the time," Nichols explains. "I'll still be around; you can't keep me away from the track. "I'll be doing consulting work as well. I want to thank Michael Holigan for the opportunity to start and manage his groundbreaking supercross team, and I look forward to working with him in the future."
