Pastrana Will Crush Cars in His Monster Truck at Loretta Lynn’s
Morgantown, WV – Before heading to the X Games to compete in a variety of spectacular events, Suzuki/Thor superstar Travis Pastrana has one special talent he’ll display only at the Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur Nationals at Loretta Lynn’s presented by Amsoil. Travis will crush cars in his own Thor #199 monster truck on the starting line of the Loretta Lynn’s motocross track on Sunday, July 30th at 7:30 pm.
“There’s only one way Travis likes to do things, and that’s in a spectacular way,” says MX Sports Director Tim Cotter. “Travis didn’t want to just sign autographs and talk on the microphone, he wanted to get some action in. So he’ll be driving his Thor #199 monster truck and crushing some cars on the starting line. Who knows? Maybe he’ll even do a backflip with it!”
Pastrana is one of the most successful racers in the history of the Air Nautiques AMA Amateur Nationals, winning five titles between 1994 and 1999. He’s returning to the ranch as a guest of Thor Racing, even though he’s also committed to Freestyle Moto-X, Supermoto and rally car competition in ESPN’s Summer X Games during the week. But only the fans at Loretta Lynn’s will get to see Travis crush cars in a monster truck.
Pastrana will also sign autographs and greet fans on Sunday before flying back to Los Angeles for the X Games.
